I’d recommend it; while the combat can be a bit dated at times, it’s solid enough. The story is probably the best of any Mario RPG besides thousand year door, and none of the humor feels forced. That being said, there is a fairly hard boss in the middle of the story called Yaridovich. If you can beat him, you should be able to handle the rest of the game so don’t get discouraged!
